A message from our president.
Employees at ENCON know that the motto that guides me in all aspects of my life is “work hard, play hard and learn everyday.” I like to share this message whenever I can because it so wonderfully reflects what we are all about as a company.
At ENCON, we work hard for the clients and brokers who do business with us. We have high expectations of ourselves and our colleagues. We don’t accept excuses. And, we place a high value on integrity.
However, we also like to have fun. A good day is one where we are challenged to find solutions to problems that arise, but where we still find time to have a good laugh with a colleague, broker or an external service provider.
At the same time, we recognize that if we are not learning, then we are not growing. So corporately, we invest in our people with training and leadership development programs and by funding continuing education. Individually, we invest in ourselves by constantly seeking to improve our skills. I am personally passionate about learning, and thrive on my daily interactions with an incredible group of professionals who I continuously learn from.
At the end of the day, we all go home to our “real lives”— and we really do understand this here. Our innovative employee programs and policies respect the fact that we are all striving for the ideal work-life balance. Being married with two grown daughters certainly helps keep me focused and efficient in the office so that I can be present at home.
By all of this you can see that at ENCON, we truly are defined by our people. Our relationships, our knowledge, our service — they are the very core of our business. Working hard, playing hard and learning everyday ensures that we create an atmosphere where each employee is able to develop professionally and personally as well as deliver the best service to our clients all the time.
